Symphony
Spring 2024 | IRL/URL Performing Hybrid System

Final Performance with Emma Grace Lehman, Harry Xue, Kally Hall
Our concept is to make a symphony. We want to start our performance using non musical sounds that gradually connect to make a composition. We want to have one performer be a “conductor” of sorts and orchestrate the sound and to have another performer provide spoken text that connects the performance thematically. One camera on the conductor. A projection behind them showing the symphony (images/sounds/lights that will ramp up into one big collage). One person reading text (provided by the audience before performance? Some prompt that allows for longer answers? Also provided by us who will answer the prompt beforehand.)

Touch Designer detecting conductor’s movement and make corresponding particle effects. P5j.s respond to conductor’s movement with different sound tracks aligned with our original sound track made with alberton.
